I really liked the analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking side of accounting, which motivated me to pursue accounting in my undergraduate and graduate programs. I always saw the role of an accountant as one that has a trickle-down effect on every individual and community, not just business.
I am currently working as the graduate assistant for the graduate business programs at Stetson University. My previous extracurricular/leadership activities include participating in the VITA program, being a Lead Resident Assistant on-campus, and being a Bonner program leader through which I worked with local NGOs on economic development (a scholarship-based community service program). Co-authored “The Impact of the Supreme Court’s Omnicare Decision on Audited Financial Statement Disclosure”.
Previous internships include EY, PwC, KPMG, and SDPI (Sustainable Development Policy Institute). Student member of the FICPA and AICPA.
Starting full-time with EY in the assurance practice.
