Noah Simon
University of Denver
Having a lifelong love of business, I knew that was the career for me and enrolled at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. The decision to pursue accounting would come later, however. In fact, it was only after my introductory accounting course in my 2nd year at DU had I even considered accounting. The School of Accountancy at Daniels College of Business helped me see what a great opportunity was available. I truly have to thank Ben Osofsky, Lauren Lilly, and Professor Eschenlohr for helping me hop in the driver’s seat of my academic and professional career, and what a ride it has been so far.
A couple jobs, internships, a study abroad semester, a position on our University Budget Advisory Committee, joining the college of business’s Ambassador Team, and a few stints serving as an officer of our Beta Alpha Psi chapter later, and I can say that what drives me each day is the ability I have to create value for others. As a student, peer, or accounting professional, I hope I can continue to see where I can serve others.
One the subject of looking forward, I am eager to begin my career in the accounting profession with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the deals platform; an opportunity for which I am enormously grateful. At the same time I will be working to earn my CPA license. Beyond the near horizon, I’m not entirely sure, that’s the beauty of the profession, isn’t it?
