Before I transferred to the University of Dayton from a local community college, I was not sure what I wanted to study. After a talk with my advisor about my strengths and interests, she recommended accounting or finance. After studying accounting for 5 years, including both undergrad and graduate courses, I can definitely say that accounting was the right choice for me. Looking ahead to graduation and beyond, as a born and raised Daytonian, I will be staying local and continuing in my position as an accountant at a graphics company based out of Miamisburg, Ohio, where I started working full-time the summer before my fifth year at UD. My other future plans include studying for and eventually receiving my CPA license.
