Matthew Ruff
Texas Christian University
Growing up with both of my parents being accountants, the accounting field and quantitative mindset had always been familiar to me. However, I didn’t receive my passion for the profession until coming to TCU. Through my Financial Reporting classes, the aspects of critical thinking and problem solving around technical accounting issues sparked my interest in pursuing a career in accounting.
Extracurricular/Leadership Activities include: Mentor in the Program for Professional Program in Accounting; EIF Fund Accountant Officer; Chancellors Leadership Program
Internships include: PricewaterhouseCoopers – Data Analysis Intern; JPMorgan Chase & Co. – Global Finance and Business Management Intern; KPMG – Business Tax Services Intern
Awards include: Senior Accounting Scholar; Dean’s Honor List and TCU Scholar
After graduating from Texas Christian University with my Masters in Accountancy, I will be entering into KPMG’s audit practice in their Dallas office. At KPMG, I hope to utilize my analytical, research, and communication skills to make a meaningful difference within the profession.
When not at work or in school, I enjoy golfing, skiing, and traveling to new locations.
