Texas Tech University
In 2014, I acquired my bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Tsinghua University in China. During my senior year, I interned at Ernst & Young and realized that I love being an accountant. In the following years, I worked as Audit Associate in the Financial Services Assurance group at Ernst & Young (Beijing, 2014-2015), Senior Associate in the Entrepreneurial group at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Beijing, 2015-2017), and Fund Accountant of top-tier private equity firms (Beijing, 2017-2019). After having worked in China for five years, I decided to become a CPA in the U.S. due to family reasons. I wanted to hone my skills in U.S. accounting and taxation, financial analysis, and advanced data processing. In the Master of Science in Accounting Program at Rawls College of Texas Tech University, I received straight A’s in all my courses, was on the President’s List of Texas Tech University in the 2020-2021 academic year, and became a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma in 2022. As for now, I am preparing for the CPA exam. My long-term goal is to become an expert in partnership accounting and regulations and work in the private equity industry in the U.S. I really want to thank every professor, classmate, and family member who has encouraged and supported me along the way.
