Coming into high school, I had no idea if I wanted to study business or become a nutritionist/PT. I started pursuing an accounting degree after having an admirable accounting teacher in high school who taught me the basics of accounting and why it was such a useful skill set. Being able to balance one’s finances through accounting and tax exhilarates me, as I love being able to help others with their finances. Thus, entering MSU, I was heavily involved in the Residential Business Community which opened the doors to recruiters of the large accounting firms. I was also a tutor, the President of the Eli Broad College of Business Student Senate, and ran on the MSU Running Club team.

I completed my undergraduate degree in three years, had two accounting internships, and ultimately took a full-time position at Deloitte in Chicago as an Accounting Risk Consultant which I plan to start in Fall of 2022. As a graduate student, I have been heavily involved with the Student Activities Board (SAB) where I am responsible for leading a team of 10 to coordinate meaningful programs for the 180+ MS in Accounting students. I am also working on passing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and am looking forward to relaxing and spending time with family and friends before I begin my job this fall.
