My first exposure to accounting was in a course I took back in high school. It was a course I enjoyed but never considered pursuing a career in accounting. I changed majors a lot in college but eventually came back to accounting and felt that my strengths would help me be successful in my pursuit of accounting. I took a long break from academics that lasted several years, but I always knew I wanted to return to finish my studies; I wanted to do it for myself and set a positive example for my two boys, Gabriel and Huxley. I graduated with my Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting in 2020, and will graduate with my Masters of Accountancy with an emphasis in Auditing in Spring of 2022. I could not have done any of it without my wife’s, Ariel, support throughout it all.
Additional certifications, awards, internships, organizations or clubs include: Beta Gamma Sigma, Alpha Chi, Alteryx Core Certification
I currently work for a fintech company that partners with financial institutions around the country to help serve the underserved in their communities. I look forward to continuing my growth within the company.
