When I took my first Accounting course, it ignited something in me; I had never felt so passionate about a subject before. I really enjoyed the challenge of learning Accounting at San Diego State University (SDSU) and I loved it so much that I felt it necessary to attain my master’s degree as well.
While at San Diego State University, I was fortunate enough to be a member of the Student Accounting Society. I was also fortunate enough to have Accounting professors who inspired me tremendously with their passion for the subject and many accomplishments. The combination of working hard for a subject I loved dearly and having wonderful professors led me to graduate with the distinction of Summa Cum Laude.
I was able to complete an audit internship and a tax internship during undergrad. I decided to accept an offer for working in Tax at BDO USA, LLP. I plan to become a Certified Public Accountant and have passed 3 CPA exams so far. Perhaps someday I will attain my PhD in Accounting as well.
