University of Florida
From her first accounting course, Catherine decided to pursue her interests and complete a combined degree of a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Accounting with a minor in computer science. During her time at the University of Florida, she was involved as a student leader in organizations inside and outside of the business school. One of her favorite memories is presenting on ESG issues at the UF Accounting Conference with a team of four peers. In addition, she was a teaching assistant for Financial Accounting and Reporting I, Introduction to Financial Accounting, and Business Law. Catherine gained professional experience completing an IT Audit internship with KPMG in Tampa. During her Master’s, Catherine received the Outstanding MAcc Student of the Year award and the Batson-Siegel Accounting Scholarship. In her free time, she loves to cook and discover delicious restaurants, read mystery novels, and watch movies. After discovering a passion for research from her professors, she plans to continue her education at Emory University, where she will pursue her PhD in Accounting.
