The University of Texas at San Antonio
While taking my first introductory accounting course when I was a management major, I realized how much I enjoyed the financial aspect of business. Accounting was the first course I felt really challenged me and I enjoyed learning about it so I decided to change majors. Now, I am in the last semester of pursuing my Masters of Accountancy with a Data Analytics track and hope to use my degree to forge a career path in business or financial analytics.
While at UTSA, I ha’ve been fortunate enough to be a member of the Accounting Students’ Advisory Panel, Association of Latino Professionals For America, and Accounting Department Strategic Planning Committee. I was also named as a Distinguished Business Student for the 2019-2020 academic year.
Outside of academics, I am a coach for a 16U club volleyball team where I get the opportunity to mentor the next generation of athletes and build my leadership skills. It is my passion, and something I hope to continue to do alongside my analyst career for as long as possible.
