University of Central Missouri
I knew I wanted to pursue a career in accounting after sitting for my first accounting class my freshman year of college. The professor was extremely enthusiastic and wanted all the students to realize that accounting was more than just counting numbers. The atmosphere of the accounting department and the energy from the faculty, staff, and students helped me realize that accounting was where I belonged.
Throughout the next five years, I joined the Accounting Student Organization and eventually Beta Alpha Psi, where I took the position of the Social Events Vice President for a year. I graduated summa cum laude in May 2020, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in accounting and acquiring a minor in big data and business analytics.
After I finished my undergrad in the summer of 2020, I attended an internship with PWC in Kansas City. I am now in the process of acquiring my CPA license, and at the end of summer 2021, I will be joining PWC as an external auditor associate.
