University of North Texas
When I transferred to UNT, my intention was to study finance. Upon taking Accounting Principles I as a pre-business requisite, I reconsidered, and it has been one of the best decisions.
During undergrad, I was involved in Beta Alpha Psi and served as a mentor for the Accounting Scholars Program while I worked three part-time jobs.
As a current grad student, I completed audit/assurance internships with both Whitley Penn and PwC, passed two sections of the CPA exam with a third on the way, served on the 3rd Annual ISACA North Texas Case Competition team, and worked as a tutor in the Accounting Lab.
After graduation this spring, I will sit for the last section of the CPA exam and then I will begin studying for the CISA exam. Towards the end of summer, I’ll be moving to Seattle, WA to work full-time with PwC in their assurance practice.
