My pursuit to be an accountant was all but clear. I had a few detours that helped me realized that my childhood love for math, numbers, and financial decisions should be followed. Upon this realization and taking my first college accounting course, I knew a path towards becoming a CPA was fitting for me. With the encouragement and guidance from my accounting professors, I started to build my path towards this fulfilling goal. To enhance the journey, I joined the Student Center for Public Trust, Business Student Council, President’s Leadership Council, Spears Mentoring Program, and tutored as a Graduate Assistant. I began to mold my professional skills by interning with ConocoPhillips, KPMG, and Grant Thornton. My accomplishments have been recognized by being named a Top Five Accounting Senior and Top Ten Freshman. I look forward to finishing the rest of the CPA exams and then starting full time as an associate auditor in Dallas, TX.
