Aurelia Turner

Through the support of faculty and staff in The George W. Daverio School of Accountancy, Aurelia has been able to seize multiple opportunities to further grow her leadership skills and professional development for the start of her career. As the former president of The Accounting Association and current president of Beta Alpha Psi, she has been able to help connect students to employers and build their confidence in professional settings. In her involvement as the vice president of Institute of Management Accountants she has been able to share a variety of accounting careers to students. To further herself professionally she has had two internships: an audit internship with BDO and a tax internship with Cohen & Company.
With these experiences she has built a community within the school as well as with her master’s program cohort. This strong academic program has allowed for further exploration of specializations in accounting and even led her to participating in the Cleveland ACG Cup competition. After graduation she will be using her knowledge in Boston as a Staff Auditor with Crowe, LLP where she wants to continue building relationships with students and professionals in the area.
