Laura Zielinski is from Toledo, Ohio. Her interest in accounting began at Roy C. Start High School, which offered two accounting classes. After taking these classes, she decided to pursue accounting at The University of Toledo (UT). While at UT Laura joined the gaming club and served as the assistant treasurer for two years and the treasurer for two years. As the treasurer, she was responsible for managing membership dues collections, an internal budget, an external checking account, and all of the cash at the club's annual cash only convention, which attracts about 1,000 attendees to UT's campus every February. Laura has helped the gaming club plan BASHCon, the annual convention, for all six years that she has attended UT. She is also an active member of Beta Alpha Psi Gamma Epsilon Chapter at UT and enjoys volunteering in the Alan Barry Accounting Lab as a tutor for the undergraduate accounting classes.
Off campus, Laura has completed two internships at Weber O'Brien in individual tax. After graduation she plans to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam in either Ohio or Michigan.
