What motivated you to pursue an accounting degree?
It all began with my intro to individual taxation course that led to my passion for accounting. I love the intricacies, constant learning, and application of law that applies to the field and study of tax. I graduated from the University of Denver in 2013 and moved to Charlottesville with my husband where I worked for a local CPA firm for about 2 years to really gain the experience needed to apply my learning to real-world scenarios. I started my M.S. in Accounting at the University of Virginia with a concentration in Tax Consulting to further my passion for tax and learn more skills to put me towards my longterm goals. I have expanded and broadened my tax horizons and this is only the beginning!
