My name is Brittany Erickson. I am currently a Master of Accounting student, with an emphasis in Financial Accounting/Audit, at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. I plan to graduate in May 2016. I am originally from Sandy, UT and I completed my undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Accounting with a minor in Music, at Brigham Young University-Idaho in July 2012. I graduated summa cum laude with an overall GPA of 3.98 and a 4.0 major GPA. In September of that year, I began working as an Accountant for AgReserves, Inc., a multi-national investment farming company, in Salt Lake City after completing an internship with them earlier in 2012. I worked for AgReserves for approximately 2 years before accepting the position of Senior Accountant with their affiliate, Farmland Reserve, Inc., in the Fall of 2014. I worked for Farmland Reserve for about 6 months before leaving to focus on completing my Master’s degree at the University of Utah. I plan to return to working in industry after completing my degree.
In addition to my interest and involvement in accounting and business, I am also heavily involved in the world of music. I play the piano and sing and am currently participating in several musical ensembles including as a member of the Bells on Temple Square, the handbell ensemble of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir organization. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hiking and camping, and spending time with my family.
