Alexander F. Garcia
Alex Garcia is currently completing a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting as a member of Group XXIII of the Professional Program in Accounting (PPA) at Texas A&M University. Alex will graduate with honors (Summa Cum Laude) in May 2016, and will also receive a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Spanish Minor. While at A&M, Alex has been actively involved as a student leader and a member in a variety of organizations to further his personal, professional, and academic development. This has included providing pro bono consulting and microfinance services to rural Panama as President for Texas A&M Global Business Brigades, leading the New York Trip as a Senior Fellow for The Business Fellows Program, and furthering entrepreneurship in the Research Valley as a Maroon Fund Associate. Alex has also been involved in the Business Student Council, the Horizons Program, and the Dealmakers in M&A Program. Alex has interned at BP’s Upstream Corporate Finance division and has gained international experience as a Strategic Business Development intern for Kulicke & Soffa in Singapore. Most recently, Alex completed a Valuation & Business Modeling internship with EY in Houston, Texas and will be returning to EY’s Transaction Advisory Services division upon graduation where he will combine his accounting and finance background to provide solutions for a variety of energy industry clients.
